The main exhibit-tiles of Wall of Hope-set the tone for the space. However, the stiffness of current concrete ceiling and floor has weakened the atmosphere.
Applying reflective materials on partitions in the second stage of the exhibition, the tile pattern would be repeated and strengthened along the whole way.
The surface of these partitions can not only provide small enclosed space for artefacts and sculptures, but also provide ambiguous layers in front of some large surface exhibits.
This tunnel is located under the highway, however, the pedestrians can hardly tell how interesting the space is when they pass through this site.
With giant columns in the square and an interesting sculpture in the water, the tunnel can attract more visitors and increase its impact on the community.
